Creighton’s doctoral research, under the supervision of Dr. Megan Brickley and Dr. Tracy Prowse, explores coming of age in the Roman Empire. Specifically, she focuses on adolescent remains, to understand when children became adults – both physically (by assessing puberty) and socially (by assessing diet). She hopes to understand how aging was experienced within Roman society, including how this may have varied depending on gender, status, and location.
