Interdisciplinary Minor in Food, Nutrition and Environmental Health

Overview

This minor is made up of courses across four Faculties and over a dozen programs. A minor in Food, Nutrition, and Environmental Health provides students with an opportunity to learn about food production, food cultures, food systems, human nutrition, and how food is constrained by and in turn impacts human and environmental health.

Requirements

Students are required to take ANTHROP 1AA3, ANTHROP 2AN3/HLTHAGE 2AN3 and 18 additional units from the course list found in the Academic Calendar

How to Register for an Interdisciplinary Minor

Students can now plan ahead and register for the Interdisciplinary Minor (IM) on Mosaic. Through registering for and IM, students will be able to learn about exciting new courses, discover unique opportunities associated with the minor, and connect with administrators and faculty.

Please note: you will still need to track your progress towards completion of the minor and declare your minor at graduation.

Follow these steps to register for in Interdisciplinary Minor in Food, Nutrition and Environmental Health on Mosaic.

1.Navigate to Student Centre through Mosaic Homepage

2. From the drop-down menu on the left hand side, select “Service Requests”

3. Click on “Create New Request”

4. Select “Interdisciplinary Minor” and then hit “Next”

5. Select Interdisciplinary Minor in “Food, Nutrition and Environmental Health” and then hit “Next”

6. Press “Submit” (Note: You do not need to fill in the comment box)

Once submitted, you will be able to track the process of your Interdisciplinary Minor registration through the Student Centre drop-down menu for “Service Request”
